Welcome to the Future Ready Skill studio of Module Three.  The Future Ready Skills will allow you to showcase what you have learned in the other learning studios on the  key aspects of Phase Two.  Note that this in this Module you must complete at least two Future Ready Activities.  Remember you can work at your own Pace, Place, and Path.  Use the color code to help differentiate the learning to meet your individual needs. Complete at Least Two Activities 

Activity One:  Compare and Contrast Phase One to Phase Two

For this activity, you will be comparing and contrasting Phase One to Phase Two.  You can use a Venn diagram or design your project to showcase the differences and similarities between the two phases.  Make sure to include: 

  • Information about the four studios
  • Future Ready Skill Activities
  • Use of Data
  • Classroom Layout - Flexible seating
  • Student voice, choice, and ownership
  • The role of the teacher​
Send your completed project to Marcia via email.  Make sure to label the email with Module Three Future Ready Activity One ​

Activity Two: Future REady skill Choice Board

Create a Future Ready Skill Choice Board for a Phase Two lesson or workshop.  Make sure to include the following items
  • At least nine different choices
  • Point values for the different choices 
  • Visual projects
  • Kinesthetic projects
  • Auditory projects
  • Choice board activities should be completed with a partner or group
  • Choice board activities should include critical thinking
  • Some choice board activities should consist of some aspect of global connection​

Feel free to be creative.  We would love for you to create a choice board that you will deploy within the classroom, workshop, or staff meeting.  
Attach your completed project to your weekly checklist.​

Activity Three: Phase Two checklist 

Design a sample FIVE Phase Two checklist template in Google that can be shared with other educators in your building or district.  Make sure to include: all four learning studios and a reflection piece to the checklist

Once you have completed all of the aspects of Activity Three, attach the sample checklist to your checklist. 

Activity Four: Growth Mindset Video

This project aligns with the Independent Studio Activity Five.  The blog post in Activity Five talks about designing and deploying a Phase One lesson plan on Growth and Fixed Mindsets.  For this ​Future Ready Activity, take photos or a video of the Growth Mindset lesson in action.  Share the photos and videos with Marcia.
