Welcome to Week 5 project section of the Blended learning Coaching Academy.  For this week's session, we are going to explore different projects that can created by using chance.  That's right, instead of having the students always creating the same powerpoint, we have developed App Dice.  The students will roll four dice.  Each dice has the following information on the dice.
  • Question Die-  6 questions that relate to a standard or unit of study
  • Create Die- Create a Song, Play, Timeline, Poem, Video, or  Story
  • House Die-  (This is where you put all of the information) For example, Emaze, Storyboardthat, Canva, Thinglink
  • Quiz Die- For example, Quizizz, Quizlet, TedEd, Kahoot,
Once the students have rolled the dice, they work together in a group to generate a project using the tools that they rolled.  As a coach, I tend to model this lesson for the teachers.  Most of the time, the teachers don't know the programs and just allow the students to figure out how to use the tools.  The students will use YouTube to learn how to use the programs.

For this project, since we don't have dice, you will be spinning a virtual spinner.  You will create a project using the tools that you rolled.

Directions:
  1. Spin the Question Spinner- Write down what you landed on so you will remember! Use the website Wonderopolis to research your question.
  2. Spin the Create Spinner- Write down what you landed on so you will remember!
  3. Spin the House Spinner- Write down what you landed on so you will remember!
  4. Spin the Quiz Spinner- Write down what you landed on so you will remember!
  5. Create a project using all four of the tools.
  6. Share the project with [email protected]
